One of the reasons that I am such a big fan of WordPress is that you can customize it endlessly with plugins. Although there are thousands of them out there, and more released daily, there are certain ones you absolutely must have.

All the plugins come with extensive instructions on how to install and use them, but the rules are pretty simple:

  • Download the plugin to your computer
  • Unzip it
  • Upload it to the plugin folder of your Wordpress (found under wp-content)
  • Go to your admin panel, Plugins
  • Activate the plugin
  • Go to Options
  • Find the tab for your plugin, if available
  • Customize it there.
