Blog platform: This refers to the tool/program you have decided to use to blog. Popular ones are Type Pad, WordPress, Moveable Type etc. Each offers its own advantages and disadvantages, and requires some research on your part to find the optimal one for you. I started out with TypePad and quickly moved to WordPress.

TypePad: A blogging tool/platform. Visit their website here. I recommend it only if you plan to run a small blog, and do not need much customization. Having said that, Seth Godin, marketing guru of note and author of eight bestsellers uses it. So it can’t be all that bad.
